Anti-Wrinkle Treatments / Botox
Recapture Your Youthful Appearance
What are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections use a naturally occurring neurotoxin, a prescription-only medicine licensed in the UK under tradenames like Botox, Azzalure, and Bocouture. Originally developed for medical use in the 1970s, its cosmetic potential was discovered coincidentally and approved in 2002.

The neurotoxin works by temporarily blocking nerve signals in specific facial muscles, preventing them from over-contracting and leading to the smoothing of dynamic wrinkles (frown lines, crow’s feet, bunny lines, etc) When administered in cosmetic doses by a trained medical practitioner, it is a safe and effective treatment.
Safety Note:
The doses required for cosmetic purposes are very small. To ensure your safety and minimize the risk of complications, treatment must only be performed by a qualified prescribing clinician.

Timeline and Restrictions
How long does it last?
Anti-wrinkle injections provide temporary improvement. The average longevity is approximately 3 months, although this depends on your metabolism and the dose used.

Note: Patients seeking a more natural look often require a lower dose, which will result in reduced longevity of results.

-
Individuals with an active infection at the treatment site.
